假見證的出現正足以證明真理的可靠 很多時候當人面對真理卻無法承認錯誤與悔改時 任何掩飾的理由或是藉口甚至是假的見證就會出現 但真理越辯越明 就算是形勢比人強 也很容易讓你我察覺 其中的端倪 但很可惜的是 群眾總是容易聽信假見證 而捨棄真理的教導 或是因著人情世故 也或是因著與切身的經驗相關 更甚的是與自己的利益有所關聯 如此的結局往往是劣幣逐良幣 使教會身受其害 分辨真理與否 或是聽信指控的假見證 需要我們不斷地去認識聖經與熟知真理 畢竟聖經不只是知識 而是日常生活的準繩 聽到而行道才會使真理日益在你我身上發出果效 雖然司提反行了許多神蹟奇事 終究抵不過假見證的逼迫 這足以讓我們看見群眾的力量 在無知的信仰經驗中透過利益或是人情 使神的僕人蒙受其害 願神幫助你我 明辨真理與虛假在教會之中 莫讓撒但作為行在你我之中 使徒行傳 6:8 司提反滿得恩惠、能力，在民間行了大奇事和神蹟。 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. 6:9 當時有稱利百地拿會堂的幾個人，並有古利奈、亞歷山大、基利家、亞細亞各處會堂的幾個人，都起來和司提反辯論。 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. 6:10 司提反是以智慧和聖靈說話，眾人敵擋不住， And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. 6:11 就買出人來說：「我們聽見他說謗讟摩西和　神的話。」 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. 6:12 他們又聳動了百姓、長老，並文士，就忽然來捉拿他，把他帶到公會去， And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him , and caught him, and brought him to the council, 6:13 設下假見證，說：「這個人說話，不住地糟踐聖所和律法。 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law: 6:14 我們曾聽見他說，這拿撒勒人耶穌要毀壞此地，也要改變摩西所交給我們的規條。」 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us. customs: or, rites 6:15 在公會裡坐著的人都定睛看他，見他的面貌，好像天使的面貌。 And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
