雅各雖然以不正當的方式得到了父親的祝福
但也為此付上了代價

一個預備殺害自己弟弟的情節
在以掃的心中醞釀著

於是雅各逃離了原本以為的美好
進入了半輩子的顛沛流離

故事的發展
在未來我們可以繼續看下去

早知如此何必當初的悔意


人生苦短
卻因著這一個錯誤的決定
而使得一生的情境
陷入無限的哀愁

創世記

27:35 以撒說：「你兄弟已經用詭計來將你的福分奪去了。」
But he said, "Your brother came with guile, and he has taken away your blessing."
27:36 以掃說：「他名雅各，豈不是正對嗎？因為他欺騙了我兩次：他從前奪了我長子的名分，你看，他現在又奪了我的福分。」以掃又說：「你沒有留下為我可祝的福嗎？」
Esau said, "Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright; and behold, now he has taken away my blessing." Then he said, "Have you not reserved a blessing for me?"
27:37 以撒回答以掃說：「我已立他為你的主，使他的弟兄都給他作僕人，並賜他五穀新酒可以養生。我兒，現在我還能為你做甚麼呢？」
Isaac answered Esau, "Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers I have given to him for servants, and with grain and wine I have sustained him. What then can I do for you, my son?"
27:38 以掃對他父親說：「父啊，你只有一樣可祝的福嗎？我父啊，求你也為我祝福！」以掃就放聲而哭。
Esau said to his father, "Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, O my father." And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.
27:39 他父親以撒說：地上的肥土必為你所住；天上的甘露必為你所得。
Then Isaac his father answered him: "Behold, away from the fatness of the earth shall your dwelling be, and away from the dew of heaven on high.
27:40 你必倚靠刀劍度日，又必事奉你的兄弟；到你強盛的時候，必從你頸項上掙開他的軛。
By your sword you shall live, and you shall serve your brother; but when you break loose you shall break his yoke from your neck."
27:41 以掃因他父親給雅各祝的福，就怨恨雅各，心裡說：「為我父親居喪的日子近了，到那時候，我要殺我的兄弟雅各。」
Now Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said to himself, "The days of mourning for my father are approaching; then I will kill my brother Jacob."
27:42 有人把利百加大兒子以掃的話告訴利百加，她就打發人去，叫了她小兒子雅各來，對他說：「你哥哥以掃想要殺你，報仇雪恨。
But the words of Esau her older son were told to Rebekah; so she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said to him, "Behold, your brother Esau comforts himself by planning to kill you.
27:43 現在，我兒，你要聽我的話：起來，逃往哈蘭、我哥哥拉班那裡去，
Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee to Laban my brother in Haran,
27:44 同他住些日子，直等你哥哥的怒氣消了。
and stay with him a while, until your brother's fury turns away;
27:45 你哥哥向你消了怒氣，忘了你向他所做的事，我便打發人去把你從那裡帶回來。為甚麼一日喪你們二人呢？」
until your brother's anger turns away, and he forgets what you have done to him; then I will send, and fetch you from there. Why should I be bereft of you both in one day?"
27:46 利百加對以撒說：「我因這赫人的女子連性命都厭煩了；倘若雅各也娶赫人的女子為妻，像這些一樣，我活著還有甚麼益處呢？」
Then Rebekah said to Isaac, "I am weary of my life because of the Hittite women. If Jacob marries one of the Hittite women such as these, one of the women of the land, what good will my life be to me?"
