願意委身教會的事工是一個最好的服事
但若在信仰生活上有諸多的爭議
那麼可能會使得自己成為眾人的絆腳石
所以我們常常會聽到諸如使人跌倒的話語

因此攻克己身是一件十分重要的事
不僅是不使人在信仰上因著自己跌倒
更是使自己成為成全善功的器皿

願在教會中作為屬靈領袖的你我都能夠時常反省自身的作為
是否得罪神
是否合神心意
是否能成為眾人的榜樣

教會屬靈領袖的生命如何正反映出教會的屬靈光景如何
改變教會不是從他人開始而是從自己能否按神話語開始


提摩太前書

3:1 「人若想要得監督的職分，就是羨慕善工。」這話是可信的。
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
3:2 作監督的，必須無可指責，只作一個婦人的丈夫，有節制，自守，端正，樂意接待遠人，善於教導；
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; of good...: or, modest
3:3 不因酒滋事，不打人，只要溫和，不爭競，不貪財；
Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; given...: or, ready to quarrel, and offer wrong, as one in wine
3:4 好好管理自己的家，使兒女凡事端莊順服（或譯：端端莊莊地使兒女順服）。
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
3:5 人若不知道管理自己的家，焉能照管　神的教會呢？
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
3:6 初入教的不可作監督，恐怕他自高自大，就落在魔鬼所受的刑罰裡。
Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. a novice: or, one newly come to the faith
3:7 監督也必須在教外有好名聲，恐怕被人毀謗，落在魔鬼的網羅裡。
Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
