使女的主人不惜造謠與作假見證
只為報復自己原本利益的失去

法利賽人也是這樣做

為了怕拉撒路的復活影響眾人跟隨耶穌
索性派人謀殺拉撒路

為了怕耶穌的復活影響他們的宗教地位
索性買通守衛士兵說謊做假見證

為了怕保羅對福音的傳揚影響他們的權力地位
索性指使多人多次在各城中做假見證指控保羅

以傳言與作假見證來傷害或是報復他人
到最後都會一一破功

事實勝過雄辯
保羅深知此一道理
所以禱告讚美勝過千言萬語

當你我在忍受他人以流言與假見證來傷害或報復的時候
不要忘記

讚美吧 因為神會動工
禱告吧 因為神會垂聽

愚妄的人聽傳言四處控告
聰明的人聽主言隨時禱告




使徒行傳

16:16 後來，我們往那禱告的地方去。有一個使女迎著面來，她被巫鬼所附，用法術，叫她主人們大得財利。
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: of divination: or, of Python
16:17 她跟隨保羅photo和我們，喊著說：「這些人是至高　神的僕人，對你們傳說救人的道。」
The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
16:18 她一連多日這樣喊叫，保羅photo就心中厭煩，轉身對那鬼說：「我奉耶穌基督的名，吩咐你從她身上出來！」那鬼當時就出來了。
And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
16:19 使女的主人們見得利的指望沒有了，便揪住保羅photo和西拉，拉他們到市上去見首領；
And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers, marketplace: or, court
16:20 又帶到官長面前說：「這些人原是猶太site人，竟騷擾我們的城，
And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
16:21 傳我們羅馬人所不可受不可行的規矩。」
And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
16:22 眾人就一同起來攻擊他們。官長吩咐剝了他們的衣裳，用棍打；
And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them .
16:23 打了許多棍，便將他們下在監裡，囑咐禁卒嚴緊看守。
And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
16:24 禁卒領了這樣的命，就把他們下在內監裡，兩腳上了木狗。
Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
16:25 約在半夜，保羅photo和西拉禱告，唱詩讚美　神，眾囚犯也側耳而聽。
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
16:26 忽然，地大震動，甚至監牢photo的地基都搖動了，監門立刻全開，眾囚犯的鎖鍊也都鬆開了。
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
16:27 禁卒一醒，看見監門全開，以為囚犯已經逃走，就拔刀要自殺。
And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
16:28 保羅photo大聲呼叫說：「不要傷害自己！我們都在這裡。」
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
16:29 禁卒叫人拿燈來，就跳進去，戰戰兢兢地俯伏在保羅photo、西拉面前；
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
16:30 又領他們出來，說：「二位先生，我當怎樣行才可以得救？」
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:31 他們說：「當信主耶穌，你和你一家都必得救。」
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
16:32 他們就把主的道講給他和他全家的人聽。
And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
