與討厭的人一起吃飯的感覺如何
有可能那頓飯吃的真不是滋味

埃及人向來不與希伯來人一起吃飯
不論起因為何都是一種討厭的感覺

教會中吃飯的時候常常會發現
每個禮拜同桌的人幾乎都很少改變
因為吃飯是一件愉快的事情
所以同桌吃飯的人大多有一種在一起能產生快樂的感受

如果有一天來個大風吹
不論是用抽籤或是刻意的安排
一開始吃飯時的話題可能會是令人意想不到的特別

今日約瑟貴為宰相
卻刻意安排與希伯來人一同吃飯
雖然沒有同桌吃飯
但是卻是有別於埃及人的傳統

如果傳統是不能改變的
那麼此刻唯一能夠改變傳統的方法唯有愛
因為約瑟對他的兄弟寬容的愛
改變了未來埃及人與希伯來人的關係
在未來的四百年之中
希伯來人在埃及日漸壯大成熟
這是因著約瑟的愛的祝福使然
也是神在這當中一個奇妙的安排

吃飯或許是一件稀鬆平常的事
但能夠帶著愛與祝福與人吃飯
不僅心中能夠充滿感恩
也能讓上帝在其中動工

飯桌上也能傳遞愛
吃飯也能夠傳福音



創世記

43:25 他們就預備那禮物，等候約瑟晌午來，因為他們聽見要在那裡吃飯。
And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there.
43:26 約瑟來到家裡，他們就把手中的禮物拿進屋去給他，又俯伏在地，向他下拜。
And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.
43:27 約瑟問他們好，又問：「你們的父親─就是你們所說的那老人家平安嗎？他還在嗎？」
And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive? welfare: Heb. peace Is your...: Heb. Is there peace to your father?
43:28 他們回答說：「你僕人─我們的父親平安；他還在。」於是他們低頭下拜。
And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.
43:29 約瑟舉目看見他同母的兄弟便雅憫，就說：「你們向我所說那頂小的兄弟就是這位嗎？」又說：「小兒啊，願　神賜恩給你！」
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son.
43:30 約瑟愛弟之情發動，就急忙尋找可哭之地，進入自己的屋裡，哭了一場。
And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.
43:31 他洗了臉出來，勉強隱忍，吩咐人擺飯。
And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.
43:32 他們就為約瑟單擺了一席，為那些人又擺了一席，也為和約瑟同吃飯的埃及人另擺了一席，因為埃及人不可和希伯來人一同吃飯；那原是埃及人所厭惡的。
And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
43:33 約瑟使眾弟兄在他面前排列坐席，都按著長幼的次序，眾弟兄就彼此詫異。
And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marvelled one at another.
43:34 約瑟把他面前的食物分出來，送給他們；但便雅憫所得的比別人多五倍。他們就飲酒，和約瑟一同宴樂。
And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him. were...: Heb. drank largely
